After completing your online theory, our experienced team will guide you through a brief 1.5-hour practical session—then you're certified!

To equip participants with the theoretical knowledge and practical application to competently administer emergency first aid, as well as the treatment of other illnesses and injuries in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. This course is ideal for participants that don’t require the First Aid qualification but want some basic First Aid knowledge and skills.
Apply First Aid has both practical and theoretical elements, where participants Demonstrate procedures of techniques used and exhibit the necessary knowledge on administering First Aid in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council(ARC) Guidelines and the Health Training Package. Alternative assessments can be made (eg. Oral).
Our self-paced online assessment allows you to complete the theory component of your first aid training at a time that suits you. Work through the interactive modules on any device, review the material as often as you need, and progress at your own pace. Once finished, you’ll simply attend the practical session to demonstrate your skills and receive your nationally accredited certificate.
HLTAID010 – Provide Basic Emergency Life Support – teaches fundamental skills for responding to emergency situations. You will learn to:
Recognise and assess emergency situations
Ensure safety for yourself, the casualty, and bystanders
Perform CPR according to Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines
Deliver first aid using available resources and standard procedures
Manage casualties respectfully and effectively
Report incidents in line with workplace protocols
This course provides a strong foundation for emergency response in various settings.
The certificate is valid for 3 years from the date of issue. However, the CPR component should be refreshed every 12 months to maintain current competency, in line with ARC and workplace recommendations.

HLTAID010 focuses on basic emergency response and life support, including CPR and incident management.
HLTAID011 (Provide First Aid) is a more comprehensive course that covers a wider range of injuries and conditions such as bleeding, fractures, burns, and bites.
Yes. Completion of the online theory (or workbook) is typically mandatory before attending the face-to-face practical session.
You’ll be assessed through a combination of:
Theory questions to confirm understanding of emergency protocols
Practical demonstrations, including CPR, casualty assessment, and incident management
Both components must be successfully completed to gain certification.
